OWN IT! is a proudly independent Publisher, Literary, Film and TV Agency and Production Company. We are a highly ambitious collective of publishers and agents, committed to finding original and genre-defying talent.
We work with and nurture a wide array of prize-winning talent, developing unique stories and bringing them to the world across Book, Film/TV and beyond.
In 2015, we first launched as OWN IT! Publishing with a unique 50/50 author split model. In 2018, we expanded and launched OWN IT! Agency with the aim of nurturing talent and supporting creatives with an interdisciplinary approach. In 2022, we grew again, launching OWN IT! Productions and are currently developing exciting new ideas for film and television. At OWN IT!, we never rest on our laurels.
In 2025 we are proud to be celebrating 10 years of independence, creativity and storytelling.

From 2015 to now…
OWN IT! began in 2015 as an independent publisher, co-founded by Crystal Mahey-Morgan and Jason Morgan, which doesn’t conform to mainstream trends in literature and forges its own trailblazing path. We are proud to be a publisher who offers a 50:50 net profit split as our business model, demonstrating our commitment to paying artists fairly for their IP and showcasing an independent attitude.
