3 Years On: JJ Bola reflects on the journey to writing and publishing, on identity and where we belong

Born in Kinshasa and raised in London, JJ Bola is a writer, poet, educator and workshop facilitator and regularly performs at shows and festivals as well as at renown universities such as SOAS, UCL, Oxford and Stanford. JJ’s work, including his debut novel No Place to Call Home and his poetry anthology Refuge, centres on a narrative of empowerment, humanisation, healing of trauma and the discovery of self through art, literature and poetry.

Three years after the publication of his novel, JJ will reflect on his journey to writing and publishing, on identity and where we belong.
