When: 13 February 2019
Where: Waterstones Gower Street, WC1E 6EQ
Time: 6:30 – 8:30PM
We’re delighted to present an evening with former footballer and author of Soccology Kevin George, who will be joined by author, activist and rapper Akala; Premiership footballer Cyrus Christie; and sports performance specialist Andy Ansah.
Football focuses heavily on physical prowess and talent, but the great players possess something extra: the ability to make good decisions on and off the pitch. To unlock their true potential players need to go beyond their gifts with the ball at their feet and focus as much on their hearts and minds.
Having spent eight years as a professional footballer, Kevin used his experiences and insight to develop Soccology, a human performance programme that has been widely endorsed by key footballing and sports figures around the world and which he has taught across all Premiere League clubs.
Join us for a lively discussion around football and mental health, emotional intelligence, performance, decision making, and how we measure success on and off the pitch, with an experienced and engaging panel who have all been involved in the beautiful game.
Please be aware this event will be filmed.
Tickets are £10/ £8 (students/Waterstones cardholders) or £18 including a copy of Soccology. All tickets include a glass of wine or soft drink
